Made in the Provincial Park - Green Tea Experience: the steps from sign-up to pan-roasting

Sign-ups are taken at the Duryunsan Provincial Park Management Office or Duryunsan Mushroom Village. When you sign up, the village gives you a basket for tea leaves, and the leaves are usually picked in the morning. You take the picked leaves to the 2nd floor of the management office and make them into tea with the roasting pans and drying room. You can taste the tea in the tasting room on the same floor.

Made in the Provincial Park - Green Tea Experience: tea picking in three rounds

Tea leaves must be new growth, so after one picking the branches are pruned, and the leaves are picked again when new shoots come up. So picking is divided into three seasons: first flush (April 12–May 31), second flush (July 1–15), and third flush (August 16–September 10). Leaves are picked by the standard of 1 chang 2 gi, one pointed bud with two broad leaves. Depending on growth, they are sometimes picked as 1 chang 1 gi. You pack the finished green tea yourself in 50 g bags to take home, and packaging is provided on site.

Made in the Provincial Park - Green Tea Experience: combining it with a Duryunsan Mountain hike

Duryunsan Mountain, where the activity site is, rises 703 m above sea level and has eight peaks, large and small, in a row.
