Check the whirlpool time for your date on the current timetable, then choose the order of places to fit their hours
- The current timetable (a monthly calendar) on the Myeongnyang Marine Cable Car operator's website lists the whirlpool time, current strength (strong, medium or weak) and sunset time for each date. It says the strongest whirlpools can be seen within 30 minutes either side of the whirlpool time.
- The whirlpool time differs every day, so do not use one day's time for another day; look at the box for the date you will go.
- Here is the order for choosing.
- First, decide the date you will go and check that day's whirlpool time on the current timetable.
- Based on that time, choose whether to watch from Uldolmok Skywalk (09:00–17:30), the 3rd-floor viewing facility of The Battle of Myeongnyang Memorial (09:00–17:30) or the cable car (ticket sales end 17:30, last run 18:00).
- If the whirlpool time is late in the afternoon, ride the cable car first so you do not miss the ticket sales cutoff.
- The currents and whirlpools are natural phenomena whose strength changes with the tides and weather, so there is no guarantee you will see them at the time in the timetable.
- The timetable also does not say that a day with a blank time box means there is no whirlpool. This timetable is a different source from the tide guides used for entering tidal flats or sea paths.
