Venerable Beopjeong Village Library in detail
Venerable Beopjeong Village Library: a traditional Korean-style library on his birthplace site in Seondu-ri
The library was built in traditional Korean style on the site of the house in Seondu-ri, Munnae-myeon, where Venerable Beopjeong was born. He was born in this village on October 8, 1932, and graduated from Usuyeong Elementary School. After he passed away in March 2010, local organizations in Munnae-myeon and the elementary school alumni association, among others, pushed to restore his birthplace. Carrying on that wish, Haenam-gun built the library and opened it to residents and travelers.

Inside the library are his books and teacups, the books he wrote, his biography, and a memorial piece by Sister Lee Hae-in, among other items. There is also a same-size copy of the empty wooden chair at Burilam Hermitage of Songgwangsa Temple, where the monk stayed.
