Deck paths and stairs lead to a water lily pond, an observatory, statues and stone towers on the hill. Admission is 5,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children, and it is always open with no closing days. If you plan to go after sunset, call first. There is little tree shade and there are many curved stairs, so it is hot in summer and you need to watch your step.

Ttangkkeut Urim Garden in detail

Ttangkkeut Urim Garden: a hilltop pond made from a pit where soil was dug out

The site was once a low hill. Lotuses were planted in a pit left after soil was dug out, and aquatic plants were planted where soil was cleared from the rocks above, making a pond. On top of the hill are amenities for resting and an observatory, where you can look down on the open view below.

Ttangkkeut Urim Garden: a natural-style garden whose flowers change with the seasons

The garden keeps its natural look rather than a man-made one, so different flowers bloom each season. It is beside the national road linking Haenam-eup and Wando, so it is easy to find, and there is a large parking lot by the road.
