Ttangkkeut Sea Trail - Ttangkkeut Trail (Course 1) in detail
Ttangkkeut Sea Trail: 8 km of coastal road from Maemseom Island to Sagumi
Ttangkkeut Sea Road is a path of about 8 km that leaves Maemseom in Ttangkkeut Village, passes Neopgol and Tongho, and reaches Sagumi Village. It follows the coastal road from start to finish. At Mureungimi Beach in Tongho is 'Salt Rock', where salt was once made, a good place to look out over the sea off Ttangkkeut. At the end point, Sagumi has a fine-sand beach and a pine grove, good for a rest. This path is also where Samnam Grand Road begins.
Ttangkkeut Sea Trail: when the sun rises at Maemseom Island, and events in Ttangkkeut Village
At Ttangkkeut you can see both sunrise and sunset. The sun rising between the Maemseom islands can be photographed only in two periods each year, mid-February and mid-October. Ttangkkeut Village holds the 'Ttangkkeut Village Small Concert' on weekend nights from May to August. The Ttangkkeut Spanish Mackerel & Sunrise Festival is held in October. Around the year-end and New Year, a sunset and sunrise festival is also held for wishes for the new year.
Ttangkkeut Sea Trail: public transportation, and food and lodging at the starting point
For public transportation, county buses run 14 times a day. For inquiries, contact Haenam Transportation (061-533-8826) or Haenam Kumho Express (061-534-0881).
