His 4th-generation ancestor Hyojeong built it in the mid-15th century, and the 14th-generation head of the family still lives there. In 1668, the house in Suwon that King Hyojong had granted to Yun Seon-do was moved here and made the men's quarters. The Gosan Shrine, the Eochoeun Shrine and a small pond, Baengnyeonji, are also here. Hours are 09:00–18:00, and it is closed every Monday. For individual admission, the tourist site fee guide of Haenam County Culture and Tourism lists the Historic Site of Gosan Yun Seon-do as free. Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI gives 2,000 won for adults, 1,500 won for youth and military/police, and 1,000 won for children, so call before visiting.

Nogudang House of the Haenam Yun Clan: a site backed by Deogeumsan Mountain and facing Byeorubong and Pilbong peaks
The house sits with Deogeumsan Mountain behind it, facing Byeorubong Peak and, to its right, Pilbong Peak. The ginkgo tree at the entrance was planted around the time the house was built and symbolizes Nogudang. The torreya forest covering the hill behind is Natural Monument No. 241 and is made up of trees over 500 years old.
Nogudang House of the Haenam Yun Clan: a closed-square house formed by the inner quarters and the men's quarters
Right past the main gate is the courtyard of the men's quarters, and behind the men's quarters, inside the east gate, are the U-shaped inner quarters. The inner quarters and the men's quarters form a closed square, and with the servants' quarters as well, the house clearly shows the layout of an upper-class home of the Joseon period. There is one more shrine inside the east wall behind the inner quarters.
