Mukdong Shore Trail - Ttangkkeut Trail (Course 3) in detail

Mukdong Shore Trail: 11 km along the tidal flats from Yeongjeon to Ijin

Mukdong Shore Trail is a course of about 11 km from Yeongjeon Village through Anpyeong, Mukdong, Sinhong and Seohong to Ijin Village. In front of Anpyeong Village, three kinds of tidal flats (mud, rock and sand) spread wide, and you can see migratory birds flying over them. Seohong Village is known for green laver, and Ijin Village at the end point is a port where ships to Jeju once came and went.

Mukdong Shore Trail: the food-offering rite of Mukdong Village and planning meals at Ijin

Mukdong Village, midway along the trail, has kept up the food-offering rite held on the first full moon of the lunar year for 400 years. There are few restaurants and shops around Ijin Village at the end point, so it is better to use the shops in Namchang Village near the Bukpyeong-myeon Office, about 4 km away. Buses from Haenam Bus Terminal to Namchang, Ijin and Yeongjeon run 14 times a day.
