Jeomjae Trail - Ttangkkeut Trail (Course 2) in detail
Jeomjae Trail, 6 km from Sagumi over the pass to Yeongjeon
Jeomjae Trail is a course of about 6 km that starts at Sagumi, crosses Jeomjae Pass, passes Moraemigol Valley and ends at Ttangkkeut Haetteul Village in Yeongjeon. Jeomjae is the lowest pass on the north side of Yundosan Mountain, and local people once crossed it to go to Wolsong Market in Hyeonsan-myeon. At Yeongjeon, red clay fields and the sea spread out together, and Ttangkkeut Haetteul Village offers farming and fishing village activities and mudflat activities.
Jeomjae Trail, bus service and sights along the trail
Buses from Haenam Bus Terminal to Ttangkkeut and Sagu run 14 times a day, but buses from Ttangkkeut to Yeongjeon run only 4 times a day, so plan your ride back in advance. Along the trail are Ttangkkeut Sculpture Park, Sagumi Beach, and Ttangkkeut Marine Natural History Museum, where you can see sculptures and many kinds of sea life. An old story says the spring below Sagu Village has water good enough to cure illness.
